The New Boss is getting ready to take over for the rest of the racing season!

We had another engine failure, this time in the 1969 Drag Camaro.  It's heartbreaking, but it's a fact of racing.  We have said it before, and here it comes again...  "If you push a car to it's maximum potential, it will break!"  Somewhere, somehow, something is going to break.  The '69 had a very strong engine, and many of you had seen it perform at the track.  We also have video posted on the site, and on youtube.com.  These cars are "race cars", so we can't expect them to last for 100,000 miles.

This is our purpose with this site.  We share with you our successes and failures.  Right now, we are officially "out of service" in the racing world.  The Comet is on the mend, and should be up and running within the month.  We will sit back and do some research on the '69 Camaro, so that we can decide on an appropriate course of action.  But rest assured that we will have it back on the track.

Right now, we have a little free time and hope to get back "hard and heavy" on the '67 Drag Camaro.  In the meantime, enjoy the site and send us some info on your successes and failures.  If you have information that you want to share, send us an email or get on our message board and chat with us.

Thanks for making us a part of your racing world.

THE BOSS IS BACK!

You heard us right!  Details are a little "sketchy" right now, but here is a little information or lack of for those who may be interested!  As some of you may know, things have been a little...how do we say?..., hectic in the shop lately.  Being down to just one, running, race car in the KJ Fleet has left us feeling the need for some "new direction".  What can give a racing team a new focus and lease on racing life?  Well, a new boss can!  Corporations change bosses every once in a while, so we felt like we needed to bring some change and a fresh perspective to KJ Brothers Racing.  Don't worry, this doesn't mean that we won't still have "some control" over issues, but you never know what kind of "power struggles" you may have when you get a new "boss"!  Now, if that doesn't make things "as clear as mud", what does?

Yours Truly,

     The KJ Brothers

A trip to 'The Dale' in Texas was a fun day!  We saw a lot of great cars and people.  We didn't do very well in the "dash for cash".  We dialed in a time, but due to a horrible crash and fire the track was shut down for some time.   The next pass Kendall made was in the 'dash for cash', and the car and track didn't hook up as we expected.  A second crash later in the evening red lighted the track again!  It was getting late so we decided to call it a night!

We would like to take a serious moment and wish well to those racers involved in the accidents.  We need to keep the drivers, their families and race teams in our thoughts and prayers.  We do this for fun, but it is a very dangerous and expensive sport.  We hope they have a speedy recovery and are able to come back to the track soon!

The trip to SCR was not a success to say the least!  A "communication breakdown", and we'll leave it at that, resulted in Kendall not being able to complete his passes for his IHRA license.  We hope he will be able to complete this when he returns from offshore!

03-02-10

It's a new year, so that means we have to stop wasting time with old news.  So we are starting fresh.  On 02-28-10, Kendall took the '69 Drag Camaro to SCR, so that he could make some passes and get his "IHRA" license.  This is only necessary if your car runs a 9.99 or faster, and you want to enter it into competitions.  So he takes the car and gets the majority of the passes completed.  In the process, he breaks his own PR in that car, and runs a 8.88 ET!  Now if that's not news worthy, neither is the global warming.  Oh wait, it snowed 3 times this year in LA.  WTF?  He only has two more passes to make, and hopefully we will have a "IHRA" licensed driver on our team!

so be looking for us at SCR on 03-05-10
and at Evadale on 03-06-10
weather permitting, we will be there!
and clean up your "clunkers", 'cause we will be taking pictures,
and yours might be the next car of the month!
